Cinnamon Molasses Frosting And Gingerbread Men
What You Need:
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
9 ounces milk
Half cup chopped cold butter
3/4 cup full molasses
½ cup golden syrup
half cup packed brown sugar
one egg
One teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoonful of dried ginger
a single teaspoonful of cinnamon
a dash of pumpkin pie spice
With regard to the Cinnamon Molasses, use 1/2 cup of confectioners’ sugar for the icing.
Cream cheese, 4 oz.
1/3 cup melted butter.
molasses, three teaspoons
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
30 milligrams of cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Put down some parchment paper over a baking tray and grease it with oil. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Combine flour, ground cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin pie spices and baking powder in a bowl mixing them very well.
3. Warm up the milk along with brown sugar till it dissolves making a lukewarm one and boil gently molasses plus corn syrup in another pot.
4.Tiny bits of chilled butter should be cut into flour mixture; mix it using fingers till crumbly like shown in this picture.
5. Add molasses combination after mixing lukewarm milk mixture with flour mixture then stir until well combined as seen in the image below. Whisk in the egg until everything is incorporated together.
6.Bake at 350°F (180°C) in preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until done through when tested with toothpick inserted in center.
7.Leave to cool completely inside the pan itself.Cover with foil while cooling for atleast one day that will form a sticky topping.Put somewhere dry and out of way .
8.To make frosting beat butter along side cream cheese until soft then mix in cinnamon and vanilla afterwards slowly add powdered sugar while beating before finally mixing with molasses made earlier on .Keep the cake cool in the fridge before frosting it; make sure it stays fresh for a whole day.
