1 cup (240ml) evaporated milk

1 cup (240ml) sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream

For the Topping:

1 ½ cups (360ml) heavy whipping cream

3 Tbs powdered sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract

 

 

Instructions:

Preheat and Prepare:

The first thing that you need to do is to preheat the oven to 350F/175C. Then, go ahead and grease the sides and the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and dust it with flour.

Make the Cake Batter:

Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.. In a big bowl, whisk the egg yolks with 3/4 cup of sugar until mature yellow and thick.Now incorporate the remaining milk and vanilla essence. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks are visible. Then add the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and stir until stiff peaks are formed.

In a large bowl combine evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and heavy cream and mix.

After the cake has cooled, pierce it with a fork in several places. Pour the milk mixture over the cake and allow it to be thoroughly absorbed. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Whip the Topping:
