BEAN AND HAM HOCK SOUP !!

 

Hearty bean and pork soup. Easy to prepare and a great way to use up leftover pork bone. This soup also contains a lot of mixed vegetables! Give it a shot, you’ll love it!To Make this Recipe You’ Will Need the following ingredients:

 

Ingredients

 1 pound large dry beans
 8 cups of water
 Half a teaspoon of salt
 1 pork shank
 1 cup chopped carrots
 ½ chopped celery stalk
 1 cup chopped onion
 1 teaspoon minced garlic
 1 teaspoon mustard powder
 2 bay leaves
 2 cups minced pork
 teaspoon ground white pepper

 

Directions :

Rinse the beans, sorting out any broken or discolored kernels. In saucepan on high heat, bring water to boil. Adding salt & beans & removing from heat. Leave beans sit in hot water about at least 61 min .Step 2 After 60 minutes of soaking, place the pan over high heat and add the pork bones, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, mustard and bay leaf to the pan.Stir well, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for another 60 minutes.

Removing pork bone /// discard.Add minced pork and cook for other 30 min Seasoning with ground white pepper to taste.
